A conjurer is a person that practices Voodoo. Bynum both practices and believes in it. Bertha, I can't tell if she truly believes in it although she is tolerant to Bynum practicing it. Seth does not believe in it because he was not raised in the same place as Bynum and Seth is a very realistic type of person.

A rootworker or conjurer is an African form of witchcraft. They use parts of the earth, like plants and leaves, to get rid of bad spirits and demons. Bynum is a rootworker. Seth does not believe in what he does because he thinks it is foolish. He says he only goes along with it to keep his wife Bertha quiet and satisfied.

A conjurer is a magician that summons evil spirits by casting spells. Bynum believes in conjuring spirits and practices it. However, Seth does not believe in these spirits, but he ignores it for Bertha's sake.

A Conjurer is a person who conjures spirits and or practices magic. In the play Bynumm is a conjurer because he both believes and practices this. However the caharcter Seth does not believe in this Conjuring and you can tell this by the way in which Seth Complians to his wife Bertha about Bynaum and the things he does.

A conjure man, or a rootworker, is someone who helps to connect families who were separated by slavery. During the post-slavery era, there were many former slaves who were broken up from their families due to immmigration and migration. Also, a rootworker, as described in the play, is an African form of witchcraft. Nature essentials such as leaves and plants are used to vanish bad spirits. In the play, the main character, Seth, does not believe in being a rootworker, and goes against Bynum's occupation, despite them being good friends, and Seth disregards the practice of rootworking to keep his wife Bertha quiet.

A conjurer is a person who calls upon spirits. Bynum practices and believes in this. I dont think that Seth nor Bertha believes in this but Bertha respects the fact that Bynum believes in it unlike Seth.
